(ETH) – The election results haven’t produced a winner but that hasn’t stopped the protests and unrest from already breaking out in America. Police were seen clashing with BLM and Antifa protesters outside the White House – as some declared they will be staying for weeks if President Trump is re-elected.
This comes as Cities across the Nation have seen storefronts boarded up and, the National Guard being deployed, as law enforcement groups prepare for potential unrest. In D.C., alone, officers were seen lined in the streets around the White House, and a fence was erected around the perimeter of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, where a thousand protesters gathered.
According to the report, the demonstrators were heard and seen chanting “Whose streets? Our streets!” and “If we don’t get no justice, they don’t get no peace!” Large banners, including one reading “Trump lies all the time,” were seen. At one point, the marchers were seen stabbing the tires of a parked police van.
Meanwhile, in Seattle, At least eight people were reportedly arrested in Seattle as many took to the streets to protest on Election Day, including demonstrators who were leaving nails in a roadway, according to police. According to Fox News, The Seattle Police Department stated that two groups were marching through the city Tuesday night, including one that was given public safety warnings for people to keep moving. Later the two groups apparently merged together around 9 p.m., with marchers moving traffic barricades into a roadway as authorities urged caution to anyone driving in the city’s downtown area
