(ETH) – For all the Parler fans out there, the CEO John Matze just delivered some bad news for those hoping that they are going to see the app return soon.
According to the report from Fox News, Following Parler going dark after being cut off by major service providers and business vendors severing ties with the two-year-old site leaving over 12 million followers to find another alternative. Matze just stated in an interview with Reuters on Wednesday that he does not know when or if the app it will return.
“It could be never,” he said. “We don’t know yet.” Matze also confirmed that Parler was talking to more than one cloud computing service but refused to disclose names, citing the likelihood of harassment for the companies involved. However, there is speculation that Parler is working with a company called “Epik”.
According to a report from the Washington Examiner, Parler has now registered its domain and server to be hosted by a company called Epik, which is an internet Webhosting company known for working with right-leaning websites. such as Gab, which is another social media platform popular with conservatives, who also uses Epik.
Matze said the best thing would be if Parler could get back on Amazon. This comes after he and his company filed a lawsuit against the company, which Amazon.com Inc said has no merit. Matze also said the company was considering suing other vendors as well but declined to say more.
