(ETH) – It is Thursday, November 5th and we still don’t have a clear winner in the presidential election but that hasn’t stopped chaos and unrest from unfolding across America. Activists are now marching in cities across the U.S., and Oregon Governor. Kate Brown has just activated the state’s National Guard in an effort to partner with local authorities in trying to prevent “widespread violence” that has erupted in Portland.

According to a report from Fox News, Portland authorities declared a riot around 10 p.m. EST, last night according to the sheriff’s office where it has left at least nine individuals being arrested and more unrest could continue. This comes as protesters around the country have made it clear that there would be additional demonstrations if President Trump loses the election but fails to concede to Joe Biden or challenges the results.

Meanwhile, in Michigan, a video has circulated of Trump supporters storming a counting Hall in Detroit screaming “stop the vote” as they tried to keep ballots from being tallied. The incident transpired before CNN projected a victory for Joe Biden in Michigan, placing him closer to winning the presidency as the race goes down to the wire. This also follows the news of The Trump campaign filing a lawsuit in an attempt to try to stop the counting of all outstanding ballots in Michigan.

During a speech at the White House on Wednesday, demanded “voting to stop,” asserting Democrats would use mail-in ballots to steal the election. “We want all voting to stop. We don’t want them to find any ballots at four in the morning and add them to the list, OK?” Trump said.

Similar scenes also unfolded in Arizona, where protestors wearing Trump gear, filled much of the parking lot at the Maricopa County election center, in Phoneix where members of the crowd chanted, “Fox News sucks!” in anger over the network declaring Joe Biden the winner in Arizona. Rep. Paul Gosar, an Arizona Republican and staunch Trump supporter, joined the crowd, declaring: “We’re not going to let this election be stolen. Period.”

According to a report from AP, Two top county officials — one being a Democrat, the other being a Republican — issued a statement expressing concern about how misinformation had spread about the integrity of the election process. “Everyone should want all the votes to be counted, whether they were mailed or cast in person,” said the statement signed by Clint Hickman, the GOP chair of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, and Democratic Supervisor Steve Gallardo. “An accurate vote takes time. … This is evidence of democracy, not fraud.”
